Non-healing sores can sometimes be a symptom of cancer, particularly skin cancer such as basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, or even melanoma. These sores may appear as persistent ulcers that do not respond to conventional treatments. In addition, non-healing sores in the mouth could be indicative of oral cancer.
