Chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and immunotherapy can exacerbate existing rheumatologic conditions or trigger new ones. For example, checkpoint inhibitors used in immunotherapy can cause a range of autoimmune reactions, including inflammatory arthritis, myositis, and vasculitis.
