Diagnosis of NHL usually involves a combination of medical history, physical examination, and diagnostic tests. Biopsy, where a sample of lymph node tissue is examined under a microscope, is the definitive method for diagnosing NHL. Additional tests such as blood tests, imaging studies (CT, MRI, PET scans), and bone marrow aspiration may also be used to determine the extent and stage of the disease.
