Currently, Dr. Weinberg's research focuses on the tumor microenvironment and the process of metastasis. He is particularly interested in understanding how cancer cells interact with their surrounding environment and how these interactions influence cancer progression. His lab is also investigating the mechanisms that enable cancer cells to spread from the primary tumor to distant sites in the body.
