Despite their advantages, humanized mice also come with challenges. One major issue is the potential for Graft-vs-Host Disease (GVHD), where the human immune cells attack the mouse tissues. Additionally, creating and maintaining these models is costly and time-consuming. Another limitation is that the humanized immune system may not fully replicate all aspects of human immunity.
