Expanded access, also known as compassionate use, is a regulatory pathway that allows patients with serious or life-threatening conditions, such as cancer, to gain access to investigational drugs, biologics, or medical devices outside of clinical trials. This pathway is designed for patients who have exhausted all other treatment options and are ineligible for ongoing clinical trials.
