Messier 67 (M67), also known as NGC 2682, is an open star cluster located in the northern constellation of Cancer. Discovered by Johann Gottfried Koehler in 1779, this cluster is one of the oldest known open clusters in the Milky Way galaxy. Situated approximately 2,700 to 2,900 light-years from Earth, Messier 67 contains around 500 stars, including several red giants and white dwarfs.
