What Qualifications Should a CMT Have to Work with Cancer Patients?
Not all massage therapists are qualified to work with cancer patients. A CMT should have additional training in oncology massage and be familiar with the side effects and complications of cancer treatments. Certification from reputable organizations such as the Society for Oncology Massage (S4OM) or similar institutions can be a good indicator of their qualifications.
