Gustave Roussy was a pioneering Swiss-French pathologist and oncologist. His work laid the foundation for the modern understanding and treatment of cancer. Roussy's contributions to medical science are numerous, but he is perhaps best known for founding the Institute Gustave Roussy (IGR) in 1926, which has since become one of the world's leading cancer research and treatment centers.
