Why are Cancer Patients Susceptible to Opportunistic Infections?

Immune Suppression: Treatments can reduce the number of white blood cells, weakening the immune system. Malnutrition: Cancer can lead to poor nutritional status, further compromising immunity. Hospital Stays: Frequent hospital visits and stays increase exposure to hospital-acquired infections.
