Are There Any Limitations to the Stool Antigen Test?
While the stool antigen test is a useful tool, it does have certain limitations:
False Positives and Negatives: The test may sometimes give false positive or false negative results, which can lead to unnecessary anxiety or a false sense of security. Limited Scope: Currently, it is mainly effective for colorectal cancer and may not detect other types of cancer. Frequency: Regular testing is required to monitor for cancer, as a single test may not be conclusive.
