CTA is often compared to other imaging modalities like MRI, PET scans, and traditional angiography:
MRI: While MRI provides excellent soft tissue contrast and does not involve radiation, it may not be as effective as CTA for detailed vascular imaging. PET Scans: PET scans are useful for metabolic imaging and detecting cancer spread but do not provide the same level of anatomical detail as CTA. Traditional Angiography: Traditional catheter-based angiography offers high-resolution vascular images but is more invasive than CTA.
