How is ITT Analysis Different from Per Protocol (PP) Analysis?
While ITT analysis includes all participants based on their initial treatment allocation, Per Protocol (PP) analysis only includes those who completed the treatment as originally assigned. PP analysis can provide a clearer picture of the treatment's efficacy under ideal conditions but may introduce bias because it excludes non-compliant participants. In cancer research, using both ITT and PP analyses can provide complementary insights into treatment effectiveness and feasibility.
