What Are Some Examples of Hydroxamates Used in Cancer Therapy?
Several hydroxamate-based compounds have been developed and studied for their anticancer properties. One of the most well-known examples is Vorinostat (SAHA), which has been approved by the FDA for the treatment of cutaneous T-cell lymphoma. Other examples include Belinostat and Panobinostat, which are also HDAC inhibitors currently used or under investigation for various types of cancers.
