One of the primary challenges in targeting c-Myc is its ubiquitous expression and essential role in normal cellular functions, leading to potential toxicity in normal tissues. Additionally, the lack of a specific binding pocket for small molecules makes it difficult to design inhibitors. Nevertheless, advances in understanding c-Myc biology and the development of novel drug delivery systems continue to provide hope for effective targeting.
