MEN2 is classified into two subtypes: MEN2A and MEN2B.
MEN2A: This is the more common subtype and is characterized by the presence of medullary thyroid carcinoma, pheochromocytoma, and hyperparathyroidism. MEN2B: This subtype is less common and more aggressive. It includes medullary thyroid carcinoma and pheochromocytoma but also features mucosal neuromas and a marfanoid habitus.
