Environmental factors are responsible for a substantial portion of cancer cases. Among these, tobacco smoke is one of the most significant. Radiation exposure, such as from UV rays and radon gas, can damage DNA and lead to skin cancer and lung cancer, respectively. Occupational exposure to chemicals like asbestos, benzene, and formaldehyde can also increase cancer risk.
