Histological grade is a measure of how much cancer cells resemble normal cells under a microscope. It provides an indication of how aggressive the cancer might be. Higher-grade cancers tend to grow and spread more quickly than lower-grade cancers. The histological grade is determined by examining a biopsy of the cancerous tissue.
