What Qualifications are Required to Become an AOCNP®?

To become an AOCNP®, candidates must hold a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license and have a Master’s or Doctoral degree in nursing from an accredited program. Additionally, they must complete advanced coursework in oncology and pass the AOCNP® certification exam administered by the Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation (ONCC). Continuing education and recertification are required to maintain the credential.
