To diagnose a suspicious lump, a variety of tests may be conducted, including:
Ultrasound - Uses sound waves to create images of the inside of the body. Mammogram - An X-ray of the breast used to detect abnormalities. Biopsy - A sample of tissue is taken from the lump and examined under a microscope. MRI - Uses magnetic fields and radio waves to produce detailed images of the body. CT Scan - Combines X-ray images from different angles to create cross-sectional images.
