Which types of cancer are associated with MLH1 and MSH2 mutations?
Mutations in MLH1 and MSH2 are strongly associated with Hereditary Nonpolyposis Colorectal Cancer (HNPCC), also known as Lynch syndrome. Individuals with Lynch syndrome are at a significantly higher risk for developing colorectal cancer as well as other cancers, such as endometrial, ovarian, gastric, and urinary tract cancers.
