Women with PCOS often have irregular menstrual cycles, which leads to a lack of regular ovulation. This results in prolonged exposure of the endometrium to estrogen without the shedding effect of progesterone, increasing the risk of endometrial hyperplasia and, subsequently, endometrial cancer. Additionally, insulin resistance and obesity, common in women with PCOS, can further exacerbate hormonal imbalances and increase cancer risk.
