Given its dual role, targeting SASP for cancer therapy is complex but promising. Strategies include the use of senolytics to selectively eliminate senescent cells, or senomorphics to modulate the secretory phenotype of these cells. Additionally, inhibiting specific SASP factors that promote tumor progression is another potential therapeutic approach.
