How Does the Healthcare Infrastructure Affect Cancer Outcomes?
The healthcare infrastructure in many LMICs is underdeveloped, which adversely affects cancer outcomes. Limited availability of specialized cancer centers and advanced diagnostic tools means that many cancers are diagnosed at an advanced stage when treatment is less effective. Additionally, the lack of resources for palliative care leads to poor quality of life for patients with terminal cancer.
