What are the Limitations of Using BLT Humanized Mice?
Despite their many advantages, BLT humanized mice have some limitations. One major limitation is the incomplete engraftment of the human immune system, which might not fully recapitulate all aspects of human immunity. Additionally, the immune response in these mice can be variable, and the engraftment process is time-consuming and costly. Another challenge is the ethical considerations surrounding the use of human fetal tissues.
