The American College of Surgeons National Surgical Quality Improvement Program (ACS NSQIP) is a nationally validated, risk-adjusted, outcomes-based program designed to measure and improve the quality of surgical care. Initially developed for the Veterans Affairs (VA) hospitals, ACS NSQIP has expanded to include a wide range of surgical specialties in both academic and community hospitals, including those that treat cancer patients.
