Alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma (ARMS) is a rare and aggressive type of cancer that arises from skeletal muscle cells. It predominantly affects children and adolescents, and is characterized by its rapid growth and tendency to spread (metastasize) quickly. ARMS is one of the main subtypes of rhabdomyosarcoma, the other being embryonal rhabdomyosarcoma (ERMS).
