Censoring refers to the concept in statistical analysis where the value of an observation is only partially known. In the context of Cancer Research, censoring typically occurs in Survival Analysis when the exact time of an event of interest (such as death or recurrence of cancer) is not observed within the study period. Instead, we know that the event has not occurred up to a certain time point.
