What types of cancer are associated with CDKN2A mutations?
CDKN2A mutations are particularly prevalent in melanoma. Approximately 20-40% of familial melanoma cases and 10% of sporadic melanoma cases exhibit CDKN2A mutations. Additionally, these mutations have been identified in other cancers such as pancreatic cancer, glioblastoma, and certain types of lung and bladder cancers.
