Yervoy is approved for the treatment of unresectable or metastatic melanoma. It has also been investigated and approved for use in combination therapies for other cancers, such as renal cell carcinoma and colorectal cancer with specific genetic markers. Ongoing research is exploring its efficacy in treating other forms of cancer as well.
