What Types of Range of Motion Exercises are Suitable for Cancer Patients?
There are three main types of range of motion exercises:
Passive Range of Motion: The patient’s joint is moved by another person or a device. This type is suitable for patients with severe weakness or fatigue. Active-Assisted Range of Motion: The patient performs the movement with some assistance. This helps in gradually building strength. Active Range of Motion: The patient performs the exercises independently. This type is suitable for patients with better strength and endurance.
