Gastrinomas are quite rare, with an estimated incidence of 0.5 to 2 cases per million people annually. They are more commonly diagnosed in adults aged 30 to 60 years and can occur sporadically or as part of a genetic syndrome known as Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia Type 1 (MEN1).
