Mature teratomas are typically cystic in nature and contain a variety of tissues, including hair, skin, and sometimes even teeth or bone. Unlike immature teratomas, they are usually benign and do not spread to other parts of the body. However, in rare cases, they can undergo malignant transformation, where a portion of the teratoma develops into a cancerous growth.
