Stage I: Cancer is found in one lymph node region or a single extralymphatic organ. Stage II: Cancer is in two or more lymph node regions on the same side of the diaphragm or extends from one lymph node area into a nearby organ. Stage III: Cancer is present in lymph node regions on both sides of the diaphragm, possibly including the spleen or an extralymphatic organ. Stage IV: Cancer has spread to one or more extralymphatic organs or tissues, such as the liver, bone marrow, or lungs.
